The FutureMedia Outlook 2012, which was previewed earlier this year during FutureMedia Fest, is an annual multimedia report that offers Georgia Tech’s viewpoint on the future of media and its impact on people, business and society over the next five to seven years. According to the FutureMedia Outlook 2012, the six megatrends that will have a pervasive impact are Smart Data, People Platforms, Content Integrity, Nimble Media, 6th Sense, and Collaboration.

For each of the six megatrends, the Outlook 2012 presents fresh and objective insights into those technologies and business practices that will significantly impact the converging media ecosystem. In addition, the report includes demonstrative clips and video interviews with leading Georgia Tech researchers offering real-world examples of how the Institute is proactively innovating in these areas.
